Understanding and Using the Multi Selection Tools
Unlock precision and efficiency with Proqio’s powerful selection tools. Whether you're drawing custom boundaries with the Polygon Selection Tool or picking sensors across locations using Multi Selection, Proqio makes bulk sensor grouping, data visualization, and site mapping seamless.
We have two types of Selection Tools:
- Polygon Selection Tool

- Multi Selection Tool

1. Polygon Selection Tool
- What it is: Allows us to create custom, straight-edged shapes by clicking to define each corner (vertex) of the polygon.
- How it works:
- Click to place each points.
- Double-click or click the starting point to close the shape.
- Best for: Selecting sensors in bulk within the selected area.
Polygon Selection Tool is also known as Area option on the map.

2. Multi Selection Tool
- What it is: Enables you to select multiple sensors simultaneously.
- How it works:
- Hold down Shift + Ctrl while selecting the sensors on the map.
(or)
-
- After clicking on Multi selection, right click on the sensors to make the selection.
- Best for: Selecting multiple sensors at a time from different places or area.
Uses of Selection Tools:
- They help you to select a large number of sensors at a time.
- They can be used to group sensors together.
- You can create new group or add sensors to an existing group.
- Viewing the selected sensor data of the same category all together on a graph.
- It enables you to create heatmaps for the selected sensors.
- You can also show deformations of the selected sensors.
- With the help of polygon selection we can create a site on the map (i.e., set boundaries for selected sensors), which helps to view a specific location on map.
Options available after selecting the sensors and their icons:
- Create Group

- Add to a group

- View Graph

- Create Site

- Heatmap

- Deformations

Please note:
Create Site option is only available for Polygon selection tool.
