Setting up Alerts
Proqio’s smart alerts keep you informed when data goes missing or thresholds are breached. Set it once and let the system take care of oversight.
How to set customized alert level colors in Proqio
Customizing alert level colors in Proqio allows teams to visually distinguish between different threshold levels and respond more effectively.
Steps to customize alert colors
- Open Proqio and navigate to the settings section.
- Select project details to access your project-specific configurations.
- Under project details > configuration, locate the alert levels option

- Click the Add Level icon.
- Enter a name for your alert level and choose a color that best represents its urgency or category.
- Once the name is added and the color is set, it will automatically get saved, you just need to click outside the editable field in order to do so.
- A confirmation message will pop up on the bottom right corner once changes are saved.

How to set up threshold alerts in Proqio
Stay ahead of potential risks by configuring threshold alerts for your instruments. Here's how:
1. Access instrument setup
- Go to the monitoring page.
- Select the instrument you want to configure and open its setup panel.
2. Navigate to threshold settings
- In the left sidebar, click on threshold > fields.

- Slide the toggle to activate alerts.

3. Configure alert levels
- Choose the field you want to monitor.
- Set the upper and lower limits for each alert level:
-
- Top Alert = Lowest risk level
- Bottom Alert = Highest risk level
4. Set Sample Trigger
- Use the “After N consecutive samples” field to define how many breaches must occur before triggering an alert.
- Example: If set to 5, the alert will trigger on the 6th consecutive breach.

⚠️ Important Note on setting Alert Levels:
When configuring multiple threshold levels, ensure that each new level is logically nested around the previous one:
- The bottom limit of the next level must be less than or equal to the bottom limit of the previous (lower) level.
- The upper limit of the next level must be greater than or equal to the upper limit of the previous level.
This ensures proper escalation and accurate alert triggering across risk levels.

How to set up data reception alerts in Proqio
Ensure continuous monitoring by configuring alerts for missing data. Follow these steps:
1. Access instrument setup
- Navigate to the monitoring page.
- Select the instrument you want to configure and open its setup panel.
2. Open data reception alerts
- In the setup panel, locate the Data reception alerts section.

3. Activate the Alert
- Click on activate alert.

- Slide the radio button to turn the alert ON.

Visual indicator for alert status
When the data reception alert is active:
- The system will display “deactivate alert”.
- The radio button will appear in a brighter blue color, indicating the alert is turned on.
When the alert is inactive:
- The system will display “Activate Alert”.
- The radio button will return to a off-blue color, showing the alert is off.
This visual cue helps you quickly identify the current alert status at a glance.
4. Set alert duration
- Define the time period for data absence (e.g., in minutes, hours, or days).
- This sets how long the system should wait before triggering an alert if no sample file is received.
❓ Why use data reception alerts?
Data reception alerts are crucial for maintaining data integrity and system reliability. They help you:
- Detect missing or delayed data in real-time.
- Respond quickly to instrument issues or communication issues.
- Maintain continuous monitoring.
- Special Note:
- These alerts can also help identify battery-related issues. If a battery-powered instrument stops sending data unexpectedly, a reception alert may be the first sign of battery depletion or failure.
Example:
If you set the alert duration to 60 minutes, the system will trigger an alert if no sample file is received within that time frame.

How to visualize threshold and data reception alerts on Proqio
To effectively monitor your instruments, Proqio provides intuitive tools to visualize both threshold alerts and data reception alerts directly on the platform.
Threshold alerts
- These appear when sensor readings exceed predefined upper or lower limits.
- You can view them on:
-
- Dynamic graphs showing alert levels and breaches.
- Map view, where affected sensors are highlighted based on alert severity.
- Dashboard widgets that summarize alert status across instruments.
Data reception alerts
- Triggered when no data is received from an instrument within a set time frame.
- Visualized through:
-
- Alert banners or icons on the instrument panel.
