How to create a report

The report is a document that provides a detailed analysis of historical data, often including trends, comparisons, and summaries. Reports are typically generated periodically (daily, weekly, monthly) and provide a comprehensive overview of performance over time.

How to create a report?

To generate a report, you must first create a template, configure it, and, depending on the report type, schedule it for automatic generation at the desired frequency or generate a PDF on demand.

Once inside the Propio platform, to can create your first report you must:

  1. Navigate to the Reports section and click on the "Templates" subsection.
  2. Click "Create Template".
  3. Complete the modal window with the required information:
    • Name: Unique identifier for the template.
    • Description (optional): Additional details about the report's purpose.
    • Viewing permissions by sites and groups (optional): Access control for report viewing.
  4. Once the fields are completed, click "Create". The design canvas will be displayed to configure your report.

Using Pages

When creating a template, an initial page is automatically generated on the canvas. You can add and manage additional pages as needed.

Page management options include:

  • Rename: Assign a new name to the page.
  • Move: Reorganize the page order.
  • Duplicate: Create an exact copy of the page.
  • Hide: Hide the page from the final report.
  • Delete: Remove the page from the report.

Configuration Tools

The design canvas offers the following tools to customize your report:

  • Zoom: Adjust the page's display scale to examine details.
  • Page Settings: Define the page's size, orientation, and visibility of specific elements.
  • Duplicate Page: Create a copy of the current page for modification.
  • Add Page: Insert a new page after the current page.
  • Delete Page: Delete a page to clean your report.

Widget Types

Data is the most important and relevant thing for your report, and this data can be obtained, filtered and optimized through Widgets. There are the following types of different widgets:

  • Map: Generate georeferenced maps with display options (satellite, relief, street, monochrome, 3D buildings).
  • Analysis: Create graphs (line, column, scatter) or visualizations (heatmap, vector, last reading) of instrument data.
  • Monitoring: Integrate satellite monitoring data from InSAR or LiDAR.
  • Alerts: Configure alerts based on data thresholds or data reception summaries.
  • Image: Insert images to complement the report.
  • Text: Add text with formatting options (size, color, thickness, alignment).
  • Tools: Insert the current date automatically.

Widgets help you tailor the dashboard to your monitoring and operational needs.

Legend Display Limitations in Widgets

In Proqio, legends are designed to occupy no more than 50% of the widget container. If displaying the full legend would exceed this limit (for example, due to a large number of plotted records or a smaller widget size), the legend will automatically be hidden. This behavior is intentional and aims to maintain a clear and usable visualization experience when working with large datasets.

Recommended workarounds:

  • Try increasing the widget/container size to allow more space for legends.

  • Use data filters to reduce the number of displayed records where possible.

Scheduling Reports

If you want the type of report you are configuring to be continuous in time and to be automatically reproduced with a certain frequency, you can do it from the button that appears at the top of the canva -Schedule-.

You only have to take into account the following options:

  1. Click the "Schedule" button at the top of the canvas.

Generating PDF Reports Manually

After you have configured your report, as we have seen in the previous step, you can schedule it to be generated automatically at some point, but if you want to generate it at the same time, it is very simple:

  1. Click the general canvas menu.

  2. Select "Generate PDF Report".
  3. The report will be generated and downloaded automatically. Generation time depends on the amount of data.
