Advanced Graph Configuration
Take your data analysis to the next level with Proqio's Advanced Graph Configuration tools. These features allow users to customize visualizations, extract deeper insights, and maintain a clear record of critical events and transformations in the data.
Module Overview: Advanced Graph Configuration
In this module, you will explore advanced features within Proqio's Graph View that allow for deeper analysis and greater customization of your data visualizations. These tools are designed to support comparative insights, contextual annotations, and real-time calculations for better operational decision-making.
Adding Multiple Instrument Categories to a Graph
Learn how to include multiple instrument categories in a single graph view to enable cross-category comparisons, multi-line monitoring, or benchmarking across different locations or equipment types.
Split Fields
Understand how to split your graph based on a selected field to generate segmented views for more focused analysis.
Add Calculations to Graph
Explore how to overlay built-in statistical and mathematical functions - such as rate of change, simple moving average, difference with previous readings, and min/max - directly onto your graph.
Comments in Graphs
Discover how to add contextual comments directly to your visualizations, allowing you to mark key events, observations, or interventions—helping with collaboration, audits, and historical tracking.
Adding Multiple Instrument Categories to a Graph
To visualize data from multiple instruments within a single graph, follow these steps:
-
Navigate to Layers
In the Monitoring section, go to the right side of the panel and select Layers. -
Select an Instrument
In the Instrument section, choose the instrument you want to visualize on the graph. -
Add an Instrument Category
In the Instrument Graph section, locate the Add Instrument Category option.-
Select it, and a dialog box will appear with Category and Fields options.
-
Click the Add Category button.
-
Once added, the graph will update to display the visual data for the selected categories accordingly.
Split Field
When an instrument records multiple parameters, visualizing all of them in a single graph can lead to clutter and confusion. Proqio’s Split Field feature allows you to separate each parameter into its own dedicated graph, improving clarity and ease of analysis.
To view each parameter in a separate graph, follow these steps:
-
Navigate to the three-dot menu located above the graph.
-
Select the “Split Field” option.
-
Choose the parameter(s) you wish to visualize separately.
-
The graph will update to display each selected parameter in an individual graph panel.
Add Calculations to Graph
Proqio gives a "Add Calculation" feature to implement advance mathematics functions such as "SMA"(Simple Moving Average) , RoC (Rate of Change), Different with Previous, Min/Max for better visualization.

Simple Moving Average (SMA)
A Simple Moving Average calculates the average value of sensor readings over a specified period. It helps smooth out short-term fluctuations and highlights overall trends in the data.
Rate of Change (RoC)
Rate of Change measures how quickly a sensor value changes over time. It is useful for identifying sudden spikes, drops, or unstable behavior in sensor performance.
Difference with Previous
This function shows the difference between the current reading and the previous one (or the closest available reading within a defined interval). It helps detect subtle shifts or gradual changes in sensor data.
Max/Min
Max and Min identify the highest and lowest values within a set of readings over a selected time window. These metrics are valuable for understanding data extremes and setting threshold-based alerts.
Adding Comments to a Graph
Proqio allows you to add comments or annotations directly on a graph to highlight specific data points—such as spikes, anomalies, or important events—making it easier to track observations and maintain context during analysis.
How to Add a Comment:
-
Click the “Add Annotation” button in the graph toolbar.
-
Select the data point where you want to place the comment.
-
An “Add Annotation” dialog box will appear.
- Select the appropriate tag for "Select Tag" section.
-
Enter your comment or remark in the text field and click Save.
